Abbeville General Hospital

My son went in at 12:30 am didn't get back home until 4:24 am! He went in for chest pain and was told it's sciatica!!! This isn't the first time one of my children has been misdiagnosed! My other son went in with a tightness in his chest and was told it was from playing sports! He didn't do any such a thing! He had a very bad case of bronchitis! How can this place help anyone get well if they don't and won't treat them for whatevers really going on?

Horror Stories Of The E.R. !!!! My Mother was hurting severely in her abdominal area. Abbeville E.R. was the closest hospital. The receptionist was great. We were rushed back immediately. Things took a turn for the worst after that. Our nurse was named Erin but a woman named Shannon B. kept popping her head in. When receiving pain medication, she was very rude, making my Mother, who was in so much pain more agitated and nervous. She told my Mother pain meds weren't going to help. She told my Mother that no hospital would admit her. I was told that Shannon B. was very aggressive and has fought patients by a nurse who also worked there. Really?!? I would expect an E.R. nurse to expect people to be anxious and deal with a patient and their loved ones more professionally and patiently. I had my Mother transferred to AnMed E.R. She is now in the hospital after an emergency surgery. If I had stayed, my Mother injuries could have been far worse or she might have died!!! After speaking to several people, they have all reported problems with this hospital. One lady was having a stroke and now has no movement on her left side due to the negligence of this hospital, releasing her with pain medication. I do not recommend this hospital or the staff. Please go somewhere else unless it's a minor injury. Your loved ones life or yours may depend on it. I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS HOSPITAL AGAIN!!! This is very sad to say but I would rather die at home than receive treatment from this "hospital". This is my honest review. Go at your own risk!!!!

went there and the service was complete trash!! Lafayette general does way better if you can please go there!

Very slow wouldn't care if you're dying and didn't run no testing to see what was even wrong because I was in pain and my whole leg was swollen just said here's meds go home.

Very rude, slow and don’t care about their patients.
