If I could give a half star that would still be to high of a rating. I am in town working and injured my right arm around 3:30 am. Google the nearest hospital and very unfortunately directed me to this place. The receptionist wasn't at her desk, which she apologized for, took all my information and walked me into a room. There was one other patient in the ER at the time. The triage nurse was polite. Took the so called Doctor, Dr. Mathers, 15 minutes to come see me. His eyes were bloodshot red as if he had just woke from a deep sleep. At least I hope that's why they were. I informed him of what happened and he started pushing his fingers into my shoulder causing extreme pain. OK. Then told me he was ordering xrays. OK. After the imaging was completed and read, this "Dr" walks in and tells me that there was no dislocation and he would have them bring a sling. That was it. Nothing else. No suggestion on what I might do or might not do. Nothing. Then he walked out. As I was waiting on my discharge papers I overheard him ask where the lady was that was in the room next to mine. I watch them discharge her BEFORE i was even brought back to get my xrays. WOW. Trust me, take your loved ones to a veterinarian clinic before bringing them here. Unbelievable.

I wish zero stars was an option. It was a nightmare experience in the emergency room. The attending physician's first words to this 64 year old retired teacher were, "we don't give out drugs here". I was in excruciating stomach pain from a diverticulitis attack and have never been to any hospital looking for drugs. I just wanted to get to the closest emergency room so that I might live to see another day. He stabbed me five times in my left hand trying to find a vein, and would've continued to torture me, if another Dr. hadn't arrived to insert one in my right arm inside the elbow. He was successful on the first attempt. The remainder of the visit was not any better, and because the lousy ER physician coded it as a non-emergency ,my insurance refused to pay. Although I informed him of my past history of diverticulitis, his reply was to go to see a G.I. man. I could have died from a septic stomach, yet he coded me a non-emergency and refused to change it. Going there was an epiphanic experience. I will NEVER make that mistake again. Nor will I make another one remotely like it. I could elaborate much further, but I won't. Just keep driving. Head in any direction except this one. This was definitely a life-changing experience. DON'T STOP HERE!!!! 3years later: I'm still alive enough to feel the trauma from that experience to blow a gasket every time I think of this experience. Do not stop there!!!!

This is the second time I have been to APH and both times has been good. The staff was eager to wait on me. Even contacted my Dr to try to accommodate me in the way I wanted to take the antibiotics. 4 stars to APH. For me to say that means a lot because I hate to go to hospitals

My experience is a glowing one. I don't understand why all the bad reviews. I drove 4 hours to come here for detox and wow I'm taken back by the southern hospitality. Everyone has a smile and are super sweet always asking how you doing and greeting you. They medicate every symptom of withdrawal and make sure you are comfortable above all else. They are super accommodating and constantly ask if you are suffering in any way and how they can make your stay a more pleasant one. They keep close tabs on you and have an eye for detail even ask what foods you don't like.. Two nurses stand out the most a female beautiful nurse named Terri 😉 has been absolutely phenomenal in every way even sharing her own personal experience, strength, and hope with me. She embodies exactly what a nurse should and even surpasses that. She even gave me her personal favorite options for long term treatment. All that and shes very easy on the eyes lol which makes my stay here even that much better. She is an absolute asset to this hospital. Second is Brenda, another asset to this hospital she helps me with any and all requests to make my stay that more pleasant. And she is so sweet.! She is an absolute embodiment of southern hospitality. I'm so glad I drove 4 hours to Come here. I'd definitely recommend to anyone! Nameste
