They put me through hell and I would give 0 stars if I could. They wrongly gave me a spinal tap that put me in the hospital for weeks and threatened my life.
I Came in with the flu and they automatically assumed I had Meningitis simply because there was 1 case at my school at the time (they barley examined me, talked to me or listened to my symptoms). The nurses were so rude and unkind, they made me feel as if I was a huge hassle to them, and I was a freshman in college alone and across the country so they made this entire experience even worse.
After they decided to give me a spinal tap without informing me of what was going on and not even having any valid cause to, they discharged me practically right away, probably no more than 20 minutes after they did it. The doctor told me if I had ANY nausea or head pain to come back ASAP. Sure enough as soon as I stood up I began vomiting and could not even walk myself to the exit. Not only did no one help me, but they forced me to leave anyways even though this was a major red flag.
After being pushed out of the er despite begging any nurse or doctor I passed to help me, I made it to the ER lobby where I was still throwing up non stop and could barely stand. I told the front desk guy I needed to be readmitted right away - that the doctor made it very clear if this started to happen to come back - and he flat out refused me.
After going to another hospital later that night where I had to stay for a couple weeks, they found that not only did Alvarado have no probable cause to give me a spinal tap, but that they did not do it properly leading to me losing a dangerous amount of spinal fluid. The other doctors said that if I had not come in when I did it would have led to life threatening seizures.
They put me through absolute hell from the moment I walked in the doors, and for the following weeks after I left.
