This is the worst emergency room I have ever been to. Walked in and told front desk I am 6 weeks pregnant and started bleeding right before I started work. Took 20 minutes to even speak to a nurse, because the front desk asked me who brought me, and wanted to know if my partner had ever been there before, and proceeded to update HIS information in their system. Nurse finally came, had me filling out paperwork before she would even take my vitals. She asked several questions more than once. (Is this'll your first pregnancy, how long have you been bleeding). Doctor came in,gave pelvic exam, stated that she saw blood, but "didn't see anything that looked like baby". She decided to try a sonogram, but warned me she "might not see anything". When she wheeled the portable sonogram machine into the room, she made sure to imform me that she'd never been trained to do a sonogram. They did not know how to operate the machine at all. Dr looked around for about a minute, if that, then ki d of shrugged her shoulders, and told me it "could be a miscarriage, could be normal, but without knowing how to work the machine, there was no way to tell". She left the room without another word. Horrible bedside manner, completely unprofessional. Do not go to this hospital. Take your chances at Shannonin San Angelo.

The nursing staff is excellent, especially the night crew. Very caring and knowledgeable. Last reviewer must have not been accountable, especially to think the doctors were fabulous. Unfortunately, nurses get the bad rap for allot of poor doctor decisions, making the nurse ths bad guys. Overall this quaint little hospital was fast, nice, and efficient. Nurses were great. Would recommend. 🙂
