Banner-University Medical Center South Campus

My 20 year old granddaughter was taken to Banner South ER via ambulance after being found unresponsive. Because I had heard of such horrible stories about this facility I was very concerned about her being treated there. My fears were very soon alleviated once I saw the great care and thorough attention she received. Her physician was phenomenal. She checked on her several times and kept the family updated. Her nurse Loren RN was generally concerned about her well being and was extremely responsive to all family inquiries. I was very impressed with her and I am not impressed easily. One tech stands out in particular named Kelly. Very professional and yet able to communicate with a 20-year-old without making her feel uncomfortable. What could’ve been a tragic ending turned out well. A lesson well learned not only for my granddaughter but for her friends. I highly recommend this emergency room.

I would like to say, my 2 Doc in the ER was amazing very professional. Dr. De Luca and Dr. Ziccarelli. The both Doc very caring and listen to me on why I was here, they both said we r going to take good care of you, and they have. Both of nurses Giovanna and Cornelia, was both very caring, and made sure they control my pain and was always there if I needed something. Top notch. The staff that did my CT. Top notch staff. The tech that did my ultrasound. Was very unprofessional, very rude. She gets a 0 she was very rude, she was doing a scan for possible blood clot in the left calf when she took to squeeze the calf and put me in tears and her comment was did that hurt and I said yes it did and she goes well I don't know why. I have never seen so unprofessional manners and how to talk to a patient then she was. But on a positive note the rest of the staff the nurses the doctors the front desk the nurse that checked me in was very professional and amazing and very courtesy. They all get 5 Stars except the tech that did my ultrasound.

Quick response to my health needs. Everyone and I do mean everyone was very kind and efficient. How I remember healthcare to be. Now I have a new hospital to go to. Thank you so much Donjuren

This hospital is horrible. The intaker in the ER and staff are very disrespectful to the patients treating patients like peasants instead of humans. I've never seen such bad service. Very unethical when it comes to who is being seen. So far I have seen all minorities being treated unfairly and those who are non-minorities were seen right away while everyone else is still sitting for more that 4 hours. Your chances of dying at home or on the street are better than getting treated here or in any kind of Banner..

Took the GF to the ER, got into a room relativere fast but that's about the only good thing that happened. Proceeded to get told labs would be done after an hour, 3 hours later we dont have information. She had a ultrasound done and we were told we would have info in 30 min. Over an hour later still no information. Only saw the doctor twice in over 5 and a half hours. Never got asked if we needed anything or how we were doing.
