This is the worst hospital you could ever go to. Nurses don’t want to do their jobs and get medicine for patients, it’s dirty, the doctor I had was very nice, and they bring decent food to eat, but I’ve had such a hard time with billing sending me letters I need to get approval for the charity assistance. Good luck with this hospital, bless the good workers.

I gave birth to my first baby here without medication. The anesthesiologist was sleeping throughout my labor. I was labor with no knowledge of coping mechanisms for a natural labor/delivery. I was stuck to the bed with no freedom of motion due to an iv that was attached to the bed. The nurse redid my iv in the same spot several times before critiquing my preference of laboring. The doctor was not called on time and I had to hold in my daughter. Then, being on your back to deliver is unnatural and highly painful. Not only did that happen, but they forgot to bring me breakfast entirely the morning following my delivery. Now that I know I can give birth naturally, I will never step foot in another hospital for labor/delivery again. Thanks for making me do my research, I’ll be choosing a Doula and a midwife next.

Cannot say enough amazing things about Bay Medical Sacred Heart, especially their ICU team. My grandmother was there for two weeks, after having a heart attack while on vacation. She was not stable enough to move, so we were displaced two hours from home for 2 weeks during her stay. The ICU staff-doctors, techs, nurses, volunteers, cafe workers and all in between were excellent. The doctors and nurses spent very thorough time with us, answered and explained every question we asked and never made us feel like a bother. They are very knowledgeable in their fields and executed a fantastic care plan for my grandmother. She was very critical at moments and they offered expertise as well as peace to us in those moments. To only be functioning at partial capacity due to hurricane Micheal, they went above and beyond. I could list many here by name but it would be just about everyone. So I will just say on behalf of my grandmother and my family, thank you to the entire BMC team!

I visited the ER last week and was so impressed with everyone there-from the intake person to the doctor-they were all very kind and very professional. Kelly was especially kind and helpful and treated me very well as I was triaged in. The waiting time was very long but that is not under anyone's control. I would definitely return to this ER if the need arises again.

My clinician sent me to bay because I was short of breath for 3 days. I waited 4 hours in waiting room of the ER, then 6 in a bed in the ER. The doctor saw me twice and did absolutely nothing, so I left. I visited a different doctor the next day who immediately diagnosed my problem as anxiety, and prescribed me some medicine that immediately alleviated my symptoms. I have great insurance, which covered my ER visit. What Bay didn’t tell me is that the ER hired a physician contract company that doesn’t take my insurance. I got a bill a month later for $2,000 from the physicians group. The only items on my bill were “examined patient” and “interpreted labs”. Thanks for the $2,000 debt, Bay Med.
