Benewah Community Hospital

With the exception of particular staff who personally know me I find the entirety of Benewah Community Hospital to be in disarray, the lack of permanent staffing and the use of third parties has contributed to a decay of care from the inside out. Staff is rapidly becoming rude and inexperienced in my opinion.

My daughter, my granddaughter, and I went to the emergency room. My granddaughter had been sick for days, I had a fever that was extremely high and extremely low oxygen, my daughter was suffering from a sore throat. I wanted make sure I didn’t have the flu. The nurses were extremely professional and caring. The doctor came in didn’t bother introducing himself, called my granddaughter an it, and has a horrible attitude. I realize that we weren’t dying but damn I felt like I was.

My husband was admitted with pneumonia in both lungs and is a type 1 diabetic. He was suppose to get breathing treatments every 4 hours. He received 2 breathing treatments in the 24 hours he was there and they lost his insulin that we had to provide!! I dont know how this hospital gets any awards for care-because they completely suck at it!! My husband ended up checking himself out the next day for fear of them screwing up his medications and insulin and it causing more health problems for him. I will never go to this hospital again! Go to CDA !!

My husband got excellent care in the ER and later was admitted to the hospital. The nursing staff went above and beyond the cna s were great, our room was cleaned daily and the Dietary Department took a special request for Huckleberry iIce Cream. We highly recommend this hospital! Mrs. Kelly Crane

Mediocre medical treatment, appalling amount of health violations, unorganized and unprofessional billing department.
