Catskill Regional Medical Center – G Hermann Site

In April of this year my father had a massive stroke and was rushed to CRMC. The damages were extreme and he only survived a day. Soon after, my husband had both knees successfully operated on and my son and I had broken bones treated. There is no doubt in my mind that the Doctors, Nurses and Staff are Professional, Kind and Caring.

My mom got into a car accident on her way back home to Rochester, was sent here by ambulance. Even though she only had minor injuries, (thank God!) She was brought back and seen right away!! I was so nervous after reading past reviews that she wouldn't get good care here, but it couldn't be further from the truth!! She had a head xray, CT and they ran 2 bags of IV magnesium all within an hour. The doctor came and talked to her personally a few times. They even wanted her to stay the night for observation, but my mom really insisted on going home, which they agreed to. The care from all of the techs, nurses and doctors were fabulous. Thank you!!

Our son Luke McGuire from the U.K had to attend the centre with a bite in his arm that had becime badly infected. He was immediately out onto a antibiotic drip and said that everyone was really helpful. He then went to back the Center the following day as it still wasn't good. He had another drip of antibiotics. I'm happy to say he has made a full recovery and is currently working at Camp Lakota. There has been a big awareness of sepsis in the U.K this week and how something as small as a bite can quickly become a killer. I want to thank all the staff for looking after Luke and acting quickly to treat him. The reviews you have received surely dont truly describe the Center and the work you do. Thank god I’m a healthy person so I can speak on that experience but with their employment department. I have been applying to this hospital as well as orange for YEARS and I always get denied. I’m college educated, have great customer service skills and always denied. Then they hire people who are nasty and have no idea what they are doing. We gotta do better. Need to give everyone a chance. Thank god I got a great job now. I waste my time thinking I will get a chance here. It’s very sad
