My husband had a procedure at Virginia Baptist hospital today. The check-in process was a breeze! All the staff we came in contact with were knowledgeable and wonderful. The nurses, the nursing students, the anesthesiologist, and the ambassadors, everyone knew their job, did it well and we were very pleased!

Today my grand daughter drove 30 miles had appointment for hair removal from face and under chin got there she's African American guess what we were told they do not do dark skin people sounds like racism. Centra health unbelieveable. Story continues will keep u posted.

If I could give a zero I would. Took my mom for an emergency major abdominal surgery. She ended up in the surgical ICU. While there a wound nurse took trash from a trash can that had been sitting in the room all day and also had stool in it from my moms colostomy bag and placed the trash bag on my moms hospital bed!!! How disgusting. And people wonder why people are dying in this hospital. Centra needs better infection control. Also the cnas and the nurses would not change their gloves after handling the stool and would touch the door knobs the side rails to the bed and light switches and bedside table. I had to constantly tell them to take the gloves off so they wouldn’t get stool all over room. And when I did that I was met with a lot of resistance and bad attitudes. This happened not only in the surgical ICU but also the surgical floor. Centra you should be ashamed of yourselves for allowing this to happen in the hospital. Make your employees do more education on infection control and make a no tolerance rule. Centra get your act together!!!

Absolutely the worst hospital we have encountered in 72 years. They use an outside answering service who are not allowed to take a message or have a dr on call. Because This is not the first time or issue with Centra! They are the most terrible health service . I guess when someone sues them and floods the internet and all media they might become what hospitals are supposed to do heal the sick not kill them!

I've never been Soo disgusted with a health care system , AND insurance company shame on you CENTRA Unrelated to my other issue with CENTRA HEALTH. The treatment of the hardest working staff is horrible. Letting people GO because of YOUR mistakes shame . (Over spending) You need to get in touch with what's right and not the GREED.
