Chatham Hospital

I had a mammogram and then last Friday I had an Echo done there. Both times they were awesome and quick with scheduling also the imaging technicians went out of their way to make sure they did a thorough imaging study. The lady tech that did my mammogram made sure she had every area scanned that was able to be as well as being kind, compassionate and concerned about making me comfortable. The man that did my echo couldn’t have been more awesome. He talked to me about the test and how it was preformed along with answering my questions and calming my fears. His great bedside manner and easygoing conversation made me forget about worrying, so that before I knew it, he had completed the test. Both experiences were great and if I have to have any further tests preformed, I will try my best to go back there. Sincerely, Deborah N

Sent here for rehabilitation after having knee replacement surgery at another hospital. Been here 10 days so far. Staff responds to your needs and requests in a timely manner. Friendly and pleasant staff. Would have rated 4, except for the food, they need to expand their menu.

I can't speak for the rest of the hospital. The folks in radiology were nice, as well as the lab and front desk. But many of the ER nurses there have an enormous sense of apathy. Went there for lung issues, was discharged as having 'upper respiratory infection'. Two days later, had to come back. Turned out I had lobar pneumonia. My mother goes there for ridiculously high blood pressure, and they talk of discharging her without bringing it down (I'm talking 200/100). Had to talk to a superior in order for them to keep her overnight. I had to get staples and the doctor/nurses helping me were great. I just wish they were all like that. Avoid this place's ER at all costs.

I had a client that was admitted here for several days. I was very impressed w/the staff, and the kitchen staff. Unlike most institutional food, the meals they served looked great, and was delicious. This facility was very clean, everyone respectful, professional and kind. The ER staff was the same way, the Dr was direct about client’s condition, professional, and set up hospice at home for client. I was very impressed w/this hospital!

Staff was friendly, helpful, & overall seemed to like their jobs. I had shoulder surgery done there,& my Physical Therapy followed. I highly recommend them.
