Citizens Memorial Hospital

My brother went to emergency room last night. The doctor was incompetent he wanted him to walk when he had fell and he was hurt didn't even want to do a x-ray with out being asked to have one done. When asked to have my brother transported to Mercy hospital in Springfield they refused to transport him. Sent him to a nursing home said he need rehab so he could get physical therapy. When he has Muscular Dystrophy. Refused to do MRI when he says he feels like there something broken. I wouldn't take my dog there.

Citizens Memorial Hospital delivered outstanding service throughout the entire emergency room process. Everyone with whom we came in contact was professional, friendly, and happy to be at work. ALL OF THEM! The ER admissions clerk was smiling with mouth, voice, eyes and actions. Her goal was to provide a positive patient experience while collecting the somewhat tedious demographic info the facility needs. I wish I could remember her name: A+. Steve the travelling nurse. Patient focused, kind spirited and compassionate. Very busy but not rushed. Genuinely cares about his patients. A+. Brianna, the Ultrasound tech kind, gentle, caring encouraging, professional and friendly. A+. The doctor kind, down to earth, efficient, friendly. A+. Absolutely recommend CMH.

emergency room visit and was admitted with a life threatening illness. I have never recieved such great care at a hospital. caring and considerate, intelligent and mind staff all around. excellent Dr's and nurses, all staff. even the food was good with GREAT sweet tea. super nice people there. they took very good care of me and were kind to any visitors I had. If you had to be in a hospital, these are the professionals you would want around you!

My husband is here now as we speak. He has not been checked on not once by his nurse. He has a bulging/slipped disc and is in tears which is not normal for him to cry at all. No one has given him anything for pain nor even came to check on him to see if he needs anything at all. Usually we come to this hospital because we have always had great experiences here. Not today. We will not be back at all. I shouldnt have even gave it two stars honestly. Sad.

Moved here from St Louis, known for top hospitals, and have been extremely pleased with the level of care at CMH in Bolivar..small town!! I am impressed with every aspect of this hospital and Doctors building across street. I have had 3 operations there and have seen doctors from CMH and have high regards for them. By the way..it is INCREDIBLE not to have to wait in line all day with tons of people running around and being able to navigate where things are...well, it is WONDERFUL.
