Coffey County Hospital

I would not recommend using services provided by Coffey County Hospital.

Just ate here was charged 1.00 for gravy because I didn't want it on top of my chicken fried steak. The lady could have told me that it was gonna be a dollar extra when it should have been free. I have ate at other restaurants and I was never changed with having my meal separate. Don't waste your money here either staying here or coming for lunch. If inpatient get your family or call for delivery. And coming for lunch GO SOMEPLACE ELSE OR COME IF YOU HAVE MONEY TO SPEND. 0 STARS IF I COULD.

Came into the er at 245 and my moms catheter had came out 15 min before that. They made us sit and wait in the waiting area. 2 more people came in after us and went back. We are still waiting an hour later. This place is a joke like the rest of the hospitals around the area. Don't go here if your smart.

Its mid Friday afternoon when it's discovered I haven't been suffering abdominal pain due to an ibs flare up since Monday, but it is suspected that I have something going on with my left ovary. It's too late to send me to stormont for an ultrasound, as my Dr wouldn't get the results until Monday. She wanted me to go through the er for ultrasound and diagnosis so I can get treatment. She said go to Burlington, as we had to go to Lyndon for a sitter for the kids. We get there, I try to explain what my Dr wants, and wouldn't you know it, their ultrasound tech had already left, and no, I'm apparently not going to find a hospital that has one on the weekend... So are all hospitals only staffed for er patients Monday through Friday? I was in my pjs, my hair isn't even washed or brushed, they're lucky I thought to put deodorant on, and I'm on my period bleeding like a stuck pig and dropping clots like horse apples (sorry- gross but true) Nevermind that I feel like I have been impaled with a hot knitting needle. I have to wait until Monday, he said! Heck, what's two more days when its already been four? Oh, now I have to give credit. He said they could see me... I said to what point if my Dr says I have to have an ultrasound that I apparently can't get in order to be treated?? Who funds these jokes of backwoods hospitals, I'll never know...

I had to bring my son here on memorial weekend due to us being at my mom's when we live in Missouri. He split his head open and needed stitches. They won't accept his out of state insurance and I can't get financial aid because I'm not a resident of Coffey county! These are things they need to tell people before they decide to be seen! I will never recommend anyone to go to this hospital ever!
