Community Medical Center

This is based on the fact that I walked in on a Saturday for care and was asked about my "PERSONAL MEDICAL INFIRMATION" while standing at the reception desk in front of the quiet clinic for every listening ear to hear. Then when I asked "Isn't that against confidential regulations to be asked to disclose this publicly?" I was told by the receptionist she needs to know just in case the issue is acute and needs to go to the ER. Mind you I am a Nurse, but I dare not tell her that. I have yet to know why the clergy personnel makes that deciding factor. Isn't it the providers place to make such a drastic decision? Then she had the nerve to say, well I guess your condition is not acute so we'll be able to see you. Where in the would have you received a license to receive this information or make medical decisions. On a brighter note ,when I brought this issue to the nurse she was very understanding of the magnitude of this mishap. She addressed it immediately, and the care was good.
