Coosa Valley Medical Center

I have never been one to rave about the ER at Coosa Valley because of my own personal experiences years ago but I can not say enough about how pleased that I am with the care that my son has received. We do not run to the doctor or ER for the sake of hanging out but son has epilepsy and we are well known in the ER. I do not have one complaint about the care that he receives. Everyone is always so quick and compassionate when it comes to him.

Excellent care as part of labor and delivery. Nurses, doctors and staff were all highly professional.

Horrible e.r. Dr. on staff tonight around 2 a.m. My 20 year old son went in for a forehead puncture wound and told them his head was hurting and he was concerned about a possible concussion. He said the Dr didn't seem interested and only glued it .No Tylenol/Motrin offered to him for his headache ,no sleep instructions ,no offer for MRI or xray. He said he may just get up and go to another Dr or hospital tomorrow. What a damn shame!

3 stars because I don't want every CVMC emergency staff to get categorized with the awful ones. I don't believe 1 bad apple spoils the whole bunch!! The ones I remember left good impressions N.P. Cathy, Dr. Stanford & Dr.Ike so kind, listen, patient & compassionate I felt like they treated me like they would treat a love one. Also the bad ones left a impression DR.SLEETH he gave me a med. that induce seizures I take several seizure meds. I bought it to his attention that is why i say" Ppl know your medical issues & meds. I told him he said" Do what you want with it take it if you want & don't if you don't want to. Coosa Valley he sitting you all for a pretty lawsuit he should have taken the script back!! I still got it until this day from March,2019 if I filled it and had a life threatening seizure now what?I would be suing him & CVMC so a breathing body with M.D. behind it to have a shift covered it is shameful & careless because I am sure he has gotten reported before him & your night shift AWFUL!

Will never go back to the e.r again.. They seen everyone else but never came in to check on my child. Then they got smart after seeing me and my husband standing at the door waiting and freezing. Telling us to get back in the room..
