Davie Medical Center

After driving 2.5 hours to get here, it was nuce to find it's easy parking. Walking in the door we are always greeted by an employee or volunteer. Registration is always quick. Dr Long is phenomenal!! Because of her we continue to make the 5 hour round trip to see her. The surgical unit and MRI staff are professional. Last week I heard a CODE over the loud speaker. I was shocked to see how many employees run to the entrance of Plaza 1. We were in Plaza 2. At least 20 from 2 ran to 1. Plus employees from Plaza 1 went running too.

I have the best Podiatrist here. The facility is always spotless, you are greeted when you enter with a nice hello and a smile, and given a "hope you have a great day" and another smile. Dr. Long and her staff are all so friendly the atmosphere is calm and peaceful...couldn't ask for better!!

You can't reach the department you want with ease. Because the switchboard may have it under a different name. But when the department answers your call they will answer it under the name you have been told. I was given a number that was supposed to reach the department I'm dealing with but I have called multiple times for several days and it doesn't work. It rings so many times and then you get to enjoy a wonderful high pitch ring in your ear. When you mention you can't get a hold of the ones you want due to this no one has an answer for you. Why does it have to be so complicated? Can they not just make it simple?

After providing care for both of my parents since 2004 to 2017 I was at a lot of hospitals for a lot of different reasons. The Davie County medical center of Wake Forest University is by far the most amazing, wonderful hospital that have ever rxperienced. I truly believe that the people that work here care about me and want me to be healthy and able bodied. It really feels like the facility has a comprehensive team of people working well together to achieve the goals of their patients. I will plan to return to this hospital if I need to be this level of care after experiencing this superior quality of care.

Took my daughter in tonight ..thought something was wrong with her and the doctors made me feel like there was something wrong with my judgment on bringing her in. Even though it turned out not to be an emergency.. to me at the time ..it was. I felt in my heart and her dad also thought that there was something wrong. We do not go up there unless we feel like something is wrong. We don’t go up there to get ridiculed for being our child up there. But that is exactly what I got. I got this same treatment over a year ago when I was having chest pain and couldn’t answer their specific question on the time frame of when the time between my shoulder pain and my face pain. And due to me not being able to pin point the exact time there was something wrong with me. Back then I said I wasn’t going to go back.. I had thought this place would’ve gotten better.. later on I went to another clinic and found I had a brain tumor.
