First time and last time here. No communication with the family . Staff will have you sitting here all night. If you do ask they won’t tell. Not one time did the doctor greet us or come to us and ask any questions. Only one tech ***Theresa Acknowledge us the In the Er.

Homophobic and rude front desk women Wanita When I was standing with my husband at the front desk this women Wanita was very homophobic and rude for no reason. I should go wherever my husband is with out people being rude, homophonic and Disrespectful. This make me feel so Uncomfortable. Please fix this issue. It happen 12:10pm - July 22, 2019

Zero stars for me..This is the worse hospital. About 7 years ago my dad died their because of the negligent activities from the nurses ... I hate this hospital because my dad and friends died here and my grandmother went to the ER not too long ago because she seems to want to have a minor stroke so she went there because it was the closest. I was hoping that they changed their ways after 7 years.They wouldn’t want anyone to stay with her overnight. We had to ask a supervisor a request to stay, they told us. where’s the supervisor??they don’t know I was sooooo hesitant and scared to even leave her without telling her cause she wanted me to stay but I left without telling her cause she was so scared herself and wanted me to stay meanwhile while on my way home I was calling the hospital to tell a nurse to hook at least a phone in her room to talk to a love one so she won’t panic they left me on hold for almost 1hr and 1/2 so I hung up and called back trying to get the same nurse I spoke to previously then another nurse answered and said they were hooking her up and switching rooms that’s why I was on the phone for so long so that wasn’t resolved cause they said they couldn’t do it then the very next early morning as soon as visiting hours began a family member went to go see my grandmother and she said that they were just hooking her up as if they just left her to die. I’ve seen and heard too many sad and devastating stories about the negligence of this hospital.. it’s not fair and not right too many deaths leading from negligent nurses that can be prevented in this hospital and we in the community have to say and do something about it because it’s just not fair

East Orange has gotten its act together. The new Dr's are competent, the staff are courteous and I love the family atmosphere they have managed to create.
