Excela Health Frick Hospital

The hospital itself is not bad it's hit or miss with the Doctor or P A .The nurses are caring and do excellent work but of course can only do so much without the doctors consent .I went to the ED yesterday in extreme pain because of a kidney stone .The PA who came in to see me was rude to me and was pointed in showing she didn't want to care for me .Yes I'm a frequent visitor because of my stupid stones, I truly try not to go .She was rude from the moment she walked in but that's not what upset me .I'm use to that I pass stones monthly sometime 2 or more a month so when I go they disbelieve that I could already have another , until I have test and they see it's true .This doctor well not a doctor a PA(Physicians Assistant) never touched me not one time she gave me no physical exam at all .She rudely asked what I wanted her to do .I explained I was in pain and was having a hard time peeing .So she ordered test that showed infection and stones ..Not once did this woman touch me I have no idea how I offended her or why she thought I didn't deserve a proper exam .The nurses that treated me were wonderful not just this time but each time I've been to the hospital and not just the ED nurses when I had to have my stones crushed and was admitted the floor nurses where beyond wonderful .I don't want to give the hospital a bad name because The ED is fast and efficient most of the staff caring and helpful .I just can't over look that she never touched me not one time during my visit .

I called 8 times to verify my therapy appointment this morning and never got any answer. I called the operator 3 times she couldn't get a hold of out patient therapy also, so she tries in patient and no answer. Then she transfers me to in patient and they answer finally only for them to say I need to call back.... So I come to therapy at 10: 10 and find out my appointment isn't till 11. That's why I called. Hmmmm Very disappointed in Excela Mt Pleasant out patient therapy.....

Worst hospital to go to. My gf goes in with high blood pressure and they try making it sound like it’s all her fault but In all reality it’s excelas fault cause they told her she was good to go after her pregnancy. Showed no concern about her having a stroke

I was in and out within 20 minutes, first time a hospital was that fast. I had infection I believed in my arm, I was having pain and hot to touch and my hand was numb, I was burned in fire have third degree burns over half my body and grafts all over, they looked at my arm and said infection, gave me antibiotic by mouth and a script for the antibiotics and I was discharged. No test ran, no blood work, no fluids given, nothing for the pain, no explanation why my hand was numb and still is numb even after I finished the antibiotics. Next time I'm having my daughter drive me to another hospital. The staff was really nice was the plus.

Should not even have one star...i have always loved Frick and the staff for being quick and very professional...until today.. My son had been suffering with a tooth infection and swelled face for the last 3 days until he couldn't take the pain which was so bad he was crying and would rather have a kidney stone instead. The problem is Dr. Sample did not even try to help relieve his pain what so ever. Just wrote a prescription for the most expensive antibiotic he could and 8 little pain pills. All because he didnt have insurance. I call this ridiculous as well as unprofessional. This is a Sunday luckily walmart was open and had a wait time of 2 hours. So I'd like to thank Dr.Sample for nothing. I hope you have severe pain and receive the same treatment you gave my son! Kharma my empathetic doctor!
