Forbes Hospital

Been a regular of Forbes for years due it being the only hospital in the area for a long, long time. The new ER is vastly improved, and all the new facilities are very nice. Good reviews for serious improvement over the past 2 decades. However, it really depends when and where you're going. If you have to visit anyone during the day, you're in trouble as there is NO parking. I've seen people just make up spots in the grass. ER staff doesn't seem to be interested in finding the real cause of illnesses, just stabilizing you and releasing you. I've taken family members to the ER several times and it's near impossible to get admitted and really worked on. But once you are admitted, they actually work and I am happy to say, all my family members have improved quality of life because of the treatment they received. Oncology, cardiology, and the stroke department are all capable. Disappointed with gastroenterology, but not every department can be gold. Again, vastly improved to what it was in the 90s, and my family and I are largely satisfied with the treatment. Wish they'd work on the parking situation though.

This is for the physical therapy crew. I feel like no one understands me when I try to let them know what's going on with my knee. They "understand" terms but don't know how to help a patient to get to the next level. What they did to me on the second day of working with them was the absolute worst time ever since I broke my knee. I never cried like in that state since the injury was created. This hospital also needs to hired massage therapists here and have them work with the P.T team and nurses so everyone can be on the same level.

This was by far the most kind staffed hospital I've ever been at. From the security guard directing me to the correct place, to the nurse who rode the elevator from the 1st floor to the 6th floor just to show me the exact room my loved one was in was incredible. Usually people just ignore you and aren't very helpful. The nursing staff was very quick, kind as well as the doctors and the residents as well. The hospitality this place had was incredible, it made me feel not so lost being 3 hrs from home. Thank you Forbes Hospital, May God bless each and every one of you.

Was my #1 choice of hospitals until tonight. I've had great treatment with any physical health, but when it comes to mental health, go somewhere other than here. Seem to think everyone will be fixed with an admittance.

I was admitted to Forbes Labor and Delivery on the evening of 4/11/19 and delivered early the following morning. I cannot say enough good things about the staff that helped me. My doctor, Gabriel Gonzales, was great, my anesthesiologists and her resident were amazing (shout out to them for being able to administer my epidural even though I have a ton of hardware attached to my spine!), but the one who really stood out was my nurse, Suzette. Suzette made me feel so comfortable, helped me keep my breathing in check, continually checked on my boyfriend and our mothers, always had words of encouragement for me, and so much more. She really made the experience and I will never forget her. She clearly genuinely cares about her patients and truly puts her heart into her job. Her bedside manner and professionalism are top notch. Overall, I feel like I had I great experience. If I ever have another child, I will absolutely be going through East Suburban OB-GYN and delivering at Forbes again. 10/10 I would recommend the staff and facility.
