My experience here reminded me that they are just another business, and your insurance pays them, you don’t. So do they really care how your experience was? Do they want to make sure you are comfortable and feel like you are in good hands? No, they will bill the insurance company, and get paid regardless.

Dr Kurzejka was wonderful, caring and thoughtful. Made sure I knew exactly what was going on!!!

It is really sad to see how ineffective our system is. My daughter was taken to the ER last night, just wanting to talk. As soon as the word "suicidal" was brought up, she was shut down. The Dr. had her shipped off to a facility . Didn't care that isn't wanted she wanted( she is an adult) or that we have been doing this for 6 years and these trips to different facilities don't work. This Dr. could of cared less, he pushed her out the door...he never checked back up on her in the 5 plus hours she was there and never even came and talked to me when I arrived. We so weren't worth his time. There was only one other patient there, so busy wasn't a issue. I miss the days of our local Dr's being on call, at least they gave a damn. There was a male nurse that was wonderful and he was trying to make up for the lack in bed side manner the Dr. had. To add insult to injury she had to be transported by JCP , shackled in the back of the police car. The officer was nice and was following protocol..I get that. But what good is that for someones mental health ...and all she wanted was someone to talk to. ... I had to put one star, so it would post...how sad

I wish I had been warned about this facilities poor reputation before I took my precious grandson there for his wheezing and cough. The ER Dr made a mistake and gave him Tylenol for a fever (his temp was 97.7), when I questioned him about it, instead of admitting that he is human and he made a mistake, he became confrontational and threatened to call Child Protective Services on me because I did not seek medical treatment for my sick grandson (um, hello, I'm sitting in his Emergency Department trying to obtain treatment for my sick grandson). I could go on further about how bad my experience was...but I won't bother. I will say the nurses, resp. therapist and other staff were very nice and apologized profusely for this Drs actions. They have my sympathy for having to work with that man, along with all of his past and future patients that are afraid to advocate for themselves or just don't know any better. We will not be back and I highly suggest that you go elsewhere as well.
