Franciscan St James Health

My husband and I have doctors here. For the last 2 1/2 years my husband has been in and out of the hospital and doctors appointments every two weeks. Out of all those times we had one problem and it was a resolved Quickly. Since January I’ve been in the emergency room twice and spent no more than four hours total for the visit. I think that is great for any ER.

I absolutely love the Franciscan Health Center of Olympia Fields! I've gone thru 2 battles with breast cancer and I'm still here to talk about it! So I'd have to say, Franciscan is amazing!! I wouldn't go anywhere else. Dr. Srinivasan, Dr. Shah and their staff (although some have left already, which saddens my heart) are wonderful. Highly recommend.

My experience at the Olympia Fields emergency room was awful, to say the least. My mother was involved in a serious car accident on May 30th and we had to rush her to this emergency room. I couldn't believe the questions they were asking her when we went to the receptionist. They asked her if she was working full-time or part-time and if we could provide an address for it. Keep in mind that my mother is complaining of severe chest pain after being in a rollover crash 30 minutes prior. Okay, whatever. We signed the paperwork, and we STILL were waiting to be seen for over 4 hours. The worst part was that a security guard in the department had a friend come in (I'm assuming, since they were talking like good buddies) and told him that he'd pass him in first, and we literally see this guard switch the folders around so his friend is next. Even the receptionist lady scolded the security guard, and that's when we decided to leave. Please, you're better off driving an extra hour to Advocate Christ because otherwise, you'd be waiting all day at Olympia Fields. It's absolutely disgraceful.

I’ve been waiting six hours had not been seen by anyone I tried to go to urgent care across the street they sent me here. I cut my finger at 3:15 got to urgent around 4 still bleeding checked in here at around 4:30 was still bleeding till 8pm no one even offered me gauze or anything the tissue I was using was irritating my skin I asked if I could please have gauze or just a band aid staffs answer “well haven’t you been checked in” yes yes I have five hours ago. A guy with his hand in a bucket of blood was waiting at least an hour before they even gave him anything. Yes let me hang my open wounds in a room full off sick people. I’m reading all the reviews and apparently this is an everyday thing here. Edit : some puked took over thirty minutes to clean up.

I loved my experience at this hospital. The best doctors and nurses ever.
