Hackensack-Umc at Pascack Valley

Facility was very clean. The ER doctors that took care of me were very kind and managed my pain quickly. I was admitted to a private room within a couple of hours and all of the doctors and nurses that tended to me over the next couple of days were courteous and caring. I was checked on often and was kept informed of my progress. The My Chart app was updated in real time and they even made a follow up appointment with my GP for me. This was my first over night stay in a hospital and I feel I was well taken care of.

Very nice & clean facility. The staff was very polite and welcoming. It took less than 10 minutes for me to see someone in the ER. This was one of the most comforting and easy-going hospital experiences I've ever had.

I come here for my ultrasounds/X-rays and have to praise the team in imaging. Today I had the pleasure of Lou, who went above and beyond in making sure I was comfortable. He is also very funny, which is helpful when working with nervous patients. I hope his boss(es) see this, because he is fantastic. Everyone I dealt with today from Lou, the Bistro staff, the women who checked me in, were accommodating, efficient and pleasant. That goes a long way in my opinion. Thank you again!

I came here to be induced and things went downhill once they started the procedure. After midwife did the procedure (instructed by my doctor) I was in immense pain. I was screaming at the top of my lungs for almost 2 hours. Hospital staff denied me an epidural and stated they were waiting for doctors orders...which was a lie. They were understaffed or just simply did not care about my pain. My husband went to the nurses station many times and was begging for help but was turned away. I was laying there completely helpless until The anesthesiologist finally came in to administer the epidural. Although there were some amazing nurses that cared for me post op, it does not make up for the rest of the staffs negligence. Not only did they deny me a epidural but as soon as I was discharged I had to return to the ER the very next day Bc my c section incision was infected. It got infected under hospital care but the they will never admit to it. Now instead of enjoying time w my newborn I’m trying to recover from infection. Thank you to all the hospital staff who took part in ruining my labor experience. I’m forever traumatized.
