Harris Regional Hospital

I had to have an emergency c-section on December 1st, 2017. The staff was incredibly friendly and kind. They kept me calm and I didn't even have a clue as to how dangerous my situation was until after the procedure. This hospital is amazing and if I still lived in NC I'd go there for my next pregnancy.

Awful experience. They are very hard to reach by phone or, even when leaving a message, to have someone call you back. I called to confirm a scheduled EEG the day before appointment... no one called back, and then when we should up for 10am appointment at 9:30 to be early, they checked us in, requested payment then sent us to 2 different waiting rooms, where we waited 2 hours (going up multiple times to desk to make sure there was not a problem) to only be told that the tech was out today sick. They asked me to reschedule. Uh, NO. I will drive to Asheville and go to Mission Hospital before I go back to Harris. Patient standing in line, as I explained to the receptionist that I wanted a refund for the service that was not received, said that her friend had the same thing happen to her. Sounds like Harris Medical needs better training on customer service, as this is not an isolated incidence. Still in disbelief of their service.

Very pleasant and caring staff from the ER reception desk to the nurse and the doctor this morning. Super fast and efficient all the way around. Great job!

My daughter at this moment is being prescribed antibiotic for a N/A strep throat test which we waited for 3 hours to find out the test would not work. Thanks Harris for nothing but wasted time we will be at her family doctor tomorrow never will I ever waste any of my family’s time here agian.

I was here out of town to be with my boyfriend having surgery here. He was asked to bring in his c-pap machine to use after the surgery. I accidentally threw away his brand new breathing mask and tubing. I called and the staff was so sweet. Housekeeping went and searched for the trash and found the tubing and mask still in their packaging. They recovered it for me and called and followed up with me twice and let me me know where I could pick it up. I was treated with such kindness!! My boyfriend received the same treatment by staff. Everyone that dealt with us was kind and professional!
