Homestead Hospital

This is what happened to my husband. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL IT IS THE WORST IN ALL FLORIDA. We went there because hubby was having major stomach pains, vomiting and a huge headache on on side of the head with pressure. We got there at 1:53pm we were not registered until 10 min later. (Even though receptionist was not doing anything besides talking to a colleague about lunch). About 20 min later he was called to check his vital signs. He did not go in (There was about 5 families at the reception area) until 30 min later. They brought him to a room where the first person to see him was registration (Insurance information) my husband has Medicaid and Medicare which means is secured payment. Then he had to wait another 30 minutes to be seen by a doctor which he said will do some lab works. After that 4 people came in to try to get veins he was pinched 6 to 7 times. (I would think you will have a professional do this, apparently they are all inexperienced or students) after that the doctor came in and said since we cannot get labs I am only going to give you a Motrin. No X-ray no nothing and sent him home. Waiting in the reception for the paperwork an hour later no papers we left.

This will be the last time I visit this hospital. Here are my reasons: They claim the pediatric side is "speedy" when it actually takes far too long for your child to be seen. There's one doctor who is really great And I don't know what he's doing in this hospital. Secondly, it's been more than once that one of the employees have toñf me that the hold up has been because someone didn't do their job. I am currently in the waiting room. Been here since 9 a.m. and it's 1 p.m. They told me someone forgot to turn in paper work and that's why I am still here. But not the first time someone isn't focused on their job and duties. They always seems to have something better to do, like laugh and tell jokes and stories among one another. It's a total joke. I am so tired of waiting more than four hours every time I go. I will be taking my business elsewhere. We are a family of four.

(Labor, Delivery, Nursery Nurses) Mrs Joanna is the best she makes sure her patients are well taken care of and don’t like seeing them in pain along with many more staff members like Gabrielle AKA GG she can watch my son any day && Myukia are also some of the top RN nurses at the hospital ❤️ And of Course Dr. Shah is the best

It's the only hospital in homestead but other than that the nurses doctors and the staff in general treat the patients and visitors great

Staff is nice, but to be attended takes forever. Literally you can be having apendicitis and you’ll die in the lobby because of waiting. After that everything is fine.
