I would have chosen to rate this a 0 if I could Here’s why:my grandma was complaining that her eye was hurting a lot and that it felt like a knife was running through it (backstory she had a cornea transplant) so my dad rushes to take her into the ER we had to wait like a hour for 4 people and when we actually got to the reception we had to wait again to be called on, it was actually pretty quick but they checked her heart beat and were asking questions about the pain they did nothing about her pain even though they knew she was in a lot of pain. We waited 4 hours and even after that long we were still not called on so we started to ask the nurse if when she would be called on and they just say I don’t know and she is just suffering with the pain waiting. After so long we just left and luckily my grandmas eye started feeling better and there was no more pain.

This hospital is very unorganized. I had an appointment at 9:30am called you tell them I was running behind the lady I spoke with said “no problem.” I waited 2 hours. They supposedly had an emergency in the ER. Why should patient with appointments suffer? Wouldn’t it be more sufficient to have 2 people who are capable of completely a scheduled ultrasound. One for the ER department and One for scheduled patient. First and the last time for me.

*****BE VERY CAREFUL OF THIS HOSPITAL/UNIVERSITY***** In the 1800s, this University bought black slaves as test subjects and surgeries without consent as they considered blacks less than human as this was performed in front of live audiences. They would perform medical test and amputate their leg or dissect black slaves as they claimed that blacks could not feel pain as strong as whites could. Very terrible history. I don't trust medical doctors anymore. American History IS Black History Read Medical Apartheid If you think that their PAST does not show who they are TODAY, then you are out of your mind.

This hospital has not changed at all! I wish that I could give this Howard University Hospital 0 stars!So I have been feeling dizzy every since I sat up to eat breakfast this morning I took a nap after I ate breakfast. I had to go to the bathroom really badly. I heard a nurse talking for about 10-15 minutes before she came into the room so I decided to wait for her. My roommate has been here since Tuesday she has been complaining of having a headache and they finally gave her blood pressure pills last night! I called out to the nurse and I said nurse nurse and she said very nastily that she wasn't here for me! I have not been nasty to anyone here. So I finally called the front desk to get my nurse because I was feeling dizzy I needed help walking to the bathroom. Instead of my nurse coming to see me right away she stopped and started talking to the nurse who was nasty to me and I said to the front desk when I called for the nurse that I had to go to bathroom really bad. So I just went to the bathroom by myself and that is where the woman next door decided that she wanted to go to the bathroom at the same time that I got into the shower after I used the bathroom. I was here 5 years ago for the birth of my son. When I was here 5 years ago aman entered the bathroom and opened the shower door purposely. This time instead of a man seeing me naked it was a woman. The bathrooms and showers are both connected. There is a slot big enough for someone to see through and she stared at me. Supposedly the woman next door had to go to the bathroom at the same time that I was taking a shower! She was looked at me through watching me shower. I looked at her and I cussed her out!

They sent me a bill from a hospital visit from more than THREE YEARS AGO. I owed the money and paid it, but getting a bill three years after the fact just shows how poorly they're billing department is run. It reflects poorly on the entire hospital.
