I stayed there 5 days for my gallbladder removal surgery and that was my first experience in the USA. I can say that; all staff from the nurse to doctors was perfect. They taking care of you. They very kind and helpful. I am really appreciated your service. Thank you!

There are no ratings low enough for this ER waiting room. It would make a Third World country's waiting room look like a model of attentiveness and efficiency. We had to wait for more than 5 hours to be seen. The front desk staff is inattentive, confused and distracted by random people (not patients) wandering in, telling stories and cracking jokes while the rest of us sit and wait. And wait. And wait. During which they repeatedly got our names wrong and backward, even after being told several times they had the wrong name.

The staff is incompetent at almost all levels. They drop the ball, forget things they said they will do, doctors order inappropriate orders - if they place the orders at all. Aimee in the ER was very helpful and everyone else has made this a pretty awful experience. My family member may need surgery tomorrow if antibiotics don’t work tonight. I’ve had to pester nurses, the ER doctor, and the Hospitalist (via the nurses) for each part of her treatment that she was getting in the ER - including antibiotics- to make it up to her in inpatient. The only thing they had to greet her was a glass of water - something a potential surgery patient shouldn’t be given. If they weren’t putting her in inpatient for the night to care for her and give her the best chance to avoid surgery- as it sure seems that way with every repeated request I have to make - why are we up here ?

My mother was brought in by ambulance 3 days after chemo therapy with her white cells destroyed and major infection. Starting in the ER, and then ICU, I was extremely impressed by the professional, compassionate care she received from all the doctors, nurses, technicians, and all who treated her, while keeping me, her family informed. Although she did not make it, I felt that she was in very good hands and the compassion and professionalism toward her was touching.

My wife suffered a serious heart attack September 23rd and I have to give credit for a job well done by MedStar Montgomery hospital in Olney, Maryland. The entire hospital staff from the ambulance driver all the way up to the Doctors and nurses that treated my wife did their jobs with the upmost compassion and professionalism that any patient could receive by so many people working together to get the job done. Most of the negativity I have read in other posts simply come down to patience by other family members wanting immediate answers about loved ones. I have learned that getting answers take some time because of the amount of testing that must be done prior to the Doctor giving you those very answers you desperately want to hear. So I just want to say Thank You to everyone involved in the care of my wife and giving her back to me. I love each and every one of you and God bless you and you’re families!!!
