Meritus Medical Center

My visit to Meritus ED was great. I experienced really rude and nasty staff in the past but, this visit was totally different. I was taken in right away and treated by friendly professional staff. Kudos to those who took care of me. Great job! Again, I had to visit the ED at Meritus. And again, I dealt with the most awesome group of nurses, not to mention the wonderful friendly lady that checks you in. Thanks ladies, you were the best. Try not to lose that professional sweet care you provided to me. You are angels!

I'm not sure the doctors name but I came in to assist my friend. He started taking a drug recently and it caused him to become suicidal. When we went there the doctors solution was to doible his dose! When I tried requesting we try something different he refused to listen and would only prescribe the drug that was causing issues. He kicked me out of his office. This doctor will kill somebody one day. If he hasn't already. He should be forbidden to deal with mental health patients as he essentially called my sober roommate a junkie. I wish I knew his name, he was a very short old Asian man with glasses. Very rude. I'm sure the staff knows who I'm talking about. but the nurse and staff was were very friendly.

I have been admitted to Meritus twice already this year (2019). I've never had a bad experience. Even my previous visits in the past few years have been positive experiences. The staff always treats me as I treat them. With dignity and respect. I let them do there job and get me well. I'm not there for a vacation and nurses are not wait staff to cater to your every whim. It's a hospital and I'm not there only patient. I always have a pleasant experience. People are always talking bad about Meritus but in reality they do that at all hospitals. I have nothing bad to say except sometimes the food is not so great. But it's gotten better than it used to be. Kudos to all the staff at Meritus for doing a great job and making my visits pleasurable ones.

Excellent hospital! Excellent nurses so caring. Doctors here are great. I have only great things to say.

You want medical care for you young kids at this hospital. Save your time and go to frederick or Winchester. merits wants nothing to do with solutions for your ailments Or your family. The staff is not trained to evaluate kids and or a grown person. The service is rude and tardy to your emergency. This establishment is a disgrace to the medical field .
