Came into the ER around 7pm on a Saturday evening for a pretty embarrassing (to me!) issue at the urging of my PCP, and the waiting room was packed. I checked in and was taken back for vitals right away. After vitals I was brought directly into a room, without being sent back out to the waiting room - I know they triage and wait times are based upon the severity of the condition - which was great as I’ve spent hours waiting in ER waiting rooms before.
Everyone that I came into contact with - my nurse and both doctors, as well as the folks in radiology who did my CT scan - were friendly, courteous, took the time to listen, and made me feel super comfortable because I was very anxious and embarrassed. They truly went above and beyond to make me comfortable and assured me that they see this issue on a daily basis.
They were super quick with treating me, the longest wait was waiting to get my CT scan done, which was approximately 45 minutes to an hour at most... and again, that wasn’t awful compared to past wait times. After my CT they read the results, and got things “moving” as soon as possible. Once we were finished up, they got me discharged quickly, explained all medication changes, and answered all of my questions. Overall, a wonderful experience.
