Northern Hospital of Surry County

My elderly Dad was provided excellent care in the Emergency room and as a patient at the hospital. The doctor’s were attentive, the staff provided outstanding care, and my Dad was properly diagnosed and given the medications and tests that were needed. Thanks so much!

I took my husband to the ER with chest pains in January ,he would not even go to a hospital until he had insurance ,a few months later we get a bill from the physician saying the bill is being turned over to a collection agency ,we go to billing in the hospital to be told ,the hospital bill was paid but the physician bill was different from the hospital bill ,we continue to try to get it took care of and understand the craziness of it in the meantime getting calls from Americollect ,I call the insurance company send them the bill ,they tell us that he was covered but didnt received the bill ,I send them the bill ,they say it will be paid. But still getting collection calls ,can't explain nothing to them ,call the billing company to be told it was no longer their bill it belongs to the collection agency ,they couldn't do nothing we just have to wait ,meanwhile this is put against his credit when all the time it wasn't his fault ,but he is the one that has to fix it ,on top of being sick. Way to go Northern Regional !!we will be going somewhere else next time we need hospital care

We arrived at 3 am. The staff was friendly enough, but We had to wait over 7 hours in the emergency room for them to finally put him in a room at 10:45 am. While in the emergency room one of the nurses took some blood, then walked off and left it laying on the table. When we pointed it out they said "ah it'll be fine". I have to say though once we got out the emergency things did improve

Brought my son in been here since 1pm, dr seen him in a reasonable time but did not put us(my son, me and my toddler daughter) in a room, sat in the hall for 3 hours. Not happy we didn't get a room at all!!!!

They only get 1 star because I cant give them a 0 ..... I have never been to m emergency room with such rude staff hours upon hours upon hours of wait time just to be seen... I wouldnt send my worst enemy here... Avoid this ED unless you plan on sitting on a waiting room for almost an entire day then they do the bare minimum jist to get u back out the door... This ed doesnt give 2 craps about anyone who comes through their doors patients arent human to them they are just another number... Worst ed everrrrrrr
