Dr. Michael Martino was rude. When I complained of pain he accused me of being a drug addict. He had no concern for my pain and refused to treat my pain. He accused me of lying about pain. I will never come to this hospital ever again and will make sure none of my family comes to this hospital.

I AM A 73 YEAR OLD GREAT GRAND MOTHER AND HAVE BEEN GOING TO OUR LOCAL HOSPITAL SINCE 1971, LONG BEFORE PENN HIGHLANDS TOOK OVER. HONESTLY I HAVE EXPERIENCED NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO COMPANIES. IF I WERE TO SAY ANYTHING, I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT THE CARE AND TREATMENT MIGHT NOW EVEN BETTER. I HAVE MANY HEALTH ISSUES AND HAVE BEEN TO THE ER MORE TIMES THAN I CAN COUNT. I HAVE NEVER HAD TO WAIT AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF TIME. EVERY TIME I HAVE BEEN TAKEN TO THE ER I'VE BEEN TAKEN BACK IMMEDIATELY. I GET MY BLOOD WORK AND ALL MY TESTING, EXRAYS, ETC. DONE THERE. MY CARDIOLOGIST'S OFFICE IS THERE. I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING NEGATIVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS FACILITY. I CAN'T COMPLAIN ABOUT WAIT TIMES.. I'VE NEVER WAITED MORE THAN 15 - 20 MINUTES FOR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS. . NOW , OF COURSE, THE WAIT TIMES IN THE ER MIGHT BE A LITTLE LONGER THAT'S BECAUSE THE SICKEST OF PATIENTS ARE TREATED FIRST WHICH IS UNDERSTANDABLE. STILL I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN TAKEN BACK INTO THE EXAM ROOMS IMMEDIATELY. A NURSE COMES IN, EVALUATES ME AND A DOCTOR COMES IN AS SOON AS HE/SHE CAN. I MUST SAY THAT I'VE ALWAYS BEEN TREATED KINDLY, WITH RESPECT, AND HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE UTMOST CARE. AT MY AGE I'VE LEARNED THAT IF I AM RESPECTFUL TO OTHERS , SPEAK AND TREAT THEM KINDLY THEY WILL MIRROR THAT BACK TO ME. I HOPE OUR HOSPITAL REMAINS IN BROOKVILLE LONG AFTER I'M GONE.

I'm not mad

I've had a few x-rays at this location recently and everyone was professional and courteous. I especially like how the registration area is designed so as you are completely sequestered inside an enclosed area when speaking about personal information. I'm deducting one star though because recently while going thru the registration process the woman helping me was asking me personal questions which I felt was inappropriate. Then she called another worker over and kept trying to have her speak with me about financial assistance and kept asking me what my income was. Then she proceeded to tell me about the coverage that she has. I really wasn't interested in chit-chat. It seemed like she mostly wanted to obtain personal information about me that wasn't relevant to the visit. Asking about the exact location of where I live is not appropriate. I don't know her name but she's thin and wears glasses.

Emergency room nurse was rude and incredibly disrespectful. I was already sick and in the emergency room, to be treated as such was the cherry on top of the sundae. Take the extra time to drive elsewhere.
