Amazing people. I went in to the ER miserable unable to swallow. Charles took my vitals and was very polite and friendly. When I was brought to a bed 4 nurses had to try and find a vein. I’m so afraid of needles and knowing that everyone was very gentle. My head nurse Jane was amazing and god bless Jenna for finally getting my blood. Not the best way to kick off vacation but it was incredible heath service and amazing bedside manner on everyone’s part.

literally the worst hospital i’ve ever been to. they’re absolutely awful there. i don’t understand how this hospital is still standing after all of the awful experiences i’ve heard from not only my family, but so many other people. i would describe my bad experiences but the list would never end. if you don’t want to die and want to get treated professionally by staff that knows what they’re doing, don’t go to speare.

They forced me to put one star they deserve a negative 100 stars. My Dad died the day after they diagnosed him and sent him home with blood clots!!!! RIP MY BEAUTIFUL DADDY!

I have no complaints about the doctors or staff. Care my family received was good. The issue with Spear is the billing department. I went to the ER in Sept2018. Spear decided they would bill the VA, but I wasn't enrolled with the VA. I was active duty and had Tricare. Every month I get a letter from VA, that states they denied the claim. I have called billing 4 times to them the insurance information 4 times for Tricare. The last two times I even gave the lady at billing the phone number to Tricare claims department, with the ext to the man at tricare I talked to that said Tricare will cover it as I was active duty at the time of care. I thought this would solve the proble, but today I received another letter from the VA. Spear again found a way to mess this up. So take all what is said above and switch my name out for my wife's and that is her story with billing at Spear. I called billing, gave all her insurance information, phone to the claims department for her insurance to assist with the claim processing and again her bills come rolling in. If billing doesn't want to do their job, at least stop harassing us about it, I did all I could and more to get a proper claim sent to the right place and Spear billing department does all it can to mess up a wet dream and then some.

I was in Lincoln on vacation when I woke up early morning with a bad stomach ache that seemed to get worse. I figured it was just something I ate but after a brief phone consultation with a friend who’s an MD and shooting pain that doubled me over I realized that it wasn’t something I ate but something more. I spent Friday hopped-up on morphine. A CT-scan discovered a severely blocked intestine. The first thought was to rush me into surgery but then they decided to wait and see if it would resolve itself without having to operate. It didn’t. After a few hours of no progress the decision was made to operate. Within 30 minutes I was in the OR. They were able to go in laparoscopically and resolve the issue without having to gut me like a deer and remove some intestine. All I have are three holes (two small and one large) on my side and zero pain. Not my local hospital but the staff here was amazing - Shana and Henry (a fellow hiker) in the ER; Michael (a fellow hiker), Barbara, and Brenda in the ICU; the surgical team of Dr Koren, Jaime, and Ray; and Kim and Carol in recovery.
