I recently had a D&C at St Vincent. I cannot brag on the hospital staff enough. Everyone was so nice and caring. The Surgery staff was awesome. They answered all my questions and I felt like they truly cared. The hospital was cleans neat. I would recommend this Hospital to anyone.

Had seizures and had bitten my tongue badly. Couldnt sleep or eat for days after. Was really stressed out and my blood pressure was really high. So I went to the DUNN e.r. and got treated really good. They perscribed the right medicine to help me. Way way better then the other hospital in Bedford IN. Thank god.

We are a military family not from this area, I went to this hospital for surgery due to my Doctors. Wish I would have asked around and looked into their reviews first. I had 4 different surgeries with 3 different Dr.'s all in same day. I was told it should be no problem to have them all at once. Had the surgeries, stayed one night and was sent home only to come back a few hours later feeling like was going to die and had 102 fever. Now that they had released me I had to go back thru the E.R. Was in extreme pain for several hours while I had to wait to be readmitted, and several tests done. By the end of all the testing I was told I had pneumonia. When asking how I could have pneumonia when I wasnt sick at all before surgery their response was in rare occasions this happens with surgery. Was told that I had pneumonia due to surgery in the E.R. and by hospital staff after I was readmitted. They had clearly told me and my family members it was surgery aquired pneumonia. During my stay I had some good nurses but also had some of the worst you could have. One in particular was an older women who during her time as my nurse would try not to give me any of my pain medication. During that time I was in alot of pain due to having a cough from the pneumonia and the pressure that coughing put on my surgical incisions. When I told my next nurse about the previous nurse not wanting to give me my medication her response was quote " Make sure you report her after your surgery you are not the first person to say that, we even had a terminally ill cancer patient she was doing that too" me and my sister were both in shock when this nurse told us the complaints they've had about her and that she would still be employed there. The care I recieved at this hospital was by far the worst I have ever recieved!!!! I have also had a few others surgeries at other hospitals (hysterectomy, etc.) And 4 children and have never had a hospital stay even come close to being as bad as this one. They say military hospitals are bad, they are 5 star compared to this one! I never saw one of my surgery Doctors again for the additional 4 nights I had to stay due to pneumonia. After getting home my Aunt who is a Dr. Checked in on me and asked me how many times a day I was doing my spirometer. When I told her none they didnt give me a spirometer her response was that is completely unacceptable! They should have given you one just as precaution if you didnt have pneumonia to make sure you didnt get it especially after being put under as long as you were and the fact they didnt give you one after pneumonia is absurd! After having the worst surgery experience ever now I have a way bigger bill than i would have had if I would not have gotten the pneumonia and had to stay all the extra days plus take additional 2 weeks off of work. The pneumonia was probably due to I was out way longer than I was supposed to be. 2 of my Dr. 'S notified my family of how it went and when they were done and the last one did not even let them know he was done or how it went. I went and got my records and called and talk to hospital and explained to them I didnt think it was right for me to have all these extra bills now due to surgical pneumonia and that being their mistake and their response to me is telling me I had community acquired phenomena. After looking in my notes they also documented community aquired pneumonia even though every person I saw there told me it was surgery aquired pneumonia! I guess thats a good way to cover up their mistake and I will be getting an attorney and have to deal with that headache now! After this happened and I mentioned the hospital name to co-workers, etc. They expressed they wish they would have know I was going there, they would have warned me!

I've been going to Dunn Hospital for as long as I can remember .I've had some bad experiences and I've had some really good ones. But I'm gonna tell the good ones .I had a heart scan which the young lady was absolutely fantastic ! So kind and caring and made me so comfortable. I wish I could remember her name .I also had to go to er for a allergic reaction to a medication I was on, well the doctor & both nurses I had was so compassionate and believe me they had every room full. I wouldn't have blaned them to be rushed but they weren't they took really good care of me. Your employees I've come in contact lately have been excellent.
