Danville VA Illiana Healthcare System

If you're a younger vet, I feel for you if you have to go to this VA. They absolutely DO NOT take you seriously if you're younger than 50. Trying to be heard here is like talking to a brick wall. They just don't care. I mean I get it, the VA isn't the best hospital to work at. But if they're going to take care of veterans they need to remember that veterans come in many forms. Not just old, straight, white people. Every once in a while you'll get a really nice nurse but that's as far as it goes. Honestly if I already didn't have established care here I'd drive the 2 hours it takes to get to the Chicago VA but I can't even say if that place is any better. Anyway, if you have to go here, be prepared to deal with bigots who will just brush you off.

I am not sure who you all are seeing, but I have had nothing but issues with the Pink Team. Their NP is downright rude and the doctor takes 3 to 6 months before anything gets done. I would like to have a doctor advocate for me instead of me babysitting what needs done. I am glad to see they get 5 stars for food and being tax free, sure. They are outdated, slow, no follow up, no advocates for the veteran. Honestly, they just blow smoke up your a**.

Excellent team of doctor's and nurses are taking care of my dad. Thank God for the VA!!!

The Danville facility is the poster child for “not my job.” 99% of the employees there don’t give a damn about veterans and that is really sad.
